MANIFESTO

THE GUIDE MOVES ON AND STOPS AT THE END OF THE MANIFESTO, RIGHT BEFORE ENTERING THE GALLERY, POSITIONING THE VISITORS ON THE LEFT SO THAT THEY CAN OBSERVE THE THREE BACKLIT PANELS:

Moving on, we arrive at the MANIFESTO, three large panels created in collaboration with the Triestine photographer and artist Massimo Gardone. We asked Gardone to reinterpret some pieces from the Archive, creating an image that would 'transcend' each designer's own language. We worked by subtraction and the body, by disappearing, became a very strong presence: the soul. It is precisely that soul that sustains the outfit, exalting creativity. The claim, written in large letters in the top right-hand corner, reads 'SAVE CREATIVITY'. Because we will never get tired of shouting out loud that saving, preserving, and nurturing creativity is a fundamental part of our mission, and the LIBRARY, which we are now about to enter, [SHOWING THE LIBRARY BEHIND] is proof of this... the beating heart of ITS.
