Concept:

Valentim’s body of work is a fusion of technological and mechanical elements. In this collection he developed the accessories seeking for an organic feel, as if they had been created by nature. He wanted to give the idea that every piece is in constant growth and metamorphosis, changing through mechanical processes responsible for the “growth” of each item, just as nature and time work together in the growth of organic life. The contrast between past and future was highlighted by rust, that also gave a steampunk post-atomic feel to the collection, and by silver, that was meant to represent the future. Valentim decided not to use any machines, and worked as a medieval artisan, going as far to develop himself any specific tools needed to complete the work.
