Concept:

There is curiosity around people and their disguises, clothes can express something about the inner self. These considerations led Momoko to research the world of Mexican luchadores, wrestling fighters who never take off their masks, not even in their private lives. Nobody knows what they really look like. Embodying the character dictated by the mask but at the same time hiding behind the mask for protection. A way to role play, but analysed it can give clues to understand who lies behind the mask.

Momoko’s collection shouts out for everyone to fight for their real faces, each and every day. Let’s not hide behind masks, even if they might protect us.
