Concept:

That I can’t fly, It already means death “That I can’t fly, It already means death.” Georgian poet Terenti Graneli. A collection that decorously embodies this citation, seeking to express the condition of a woman who feels she can fly, convinced she was not born to live an ordinary life or be happy in a conventional way. Still she carries a heavy load preventing her from flying, grounding her to earth and reality. Tamar visually translated this concept with chunky heels that appear to be literally detached from the sole as if the wearer was about to fly. It is clear that this is impossible, that it is just a visual illusion. The shapes are inspired by slot canyons, natural formations that communicate the strength of rock and at the same time the flowing lightness of water.
